Why Be A BTG Member?
The Belleville Theatre Guild is an all volunteer, amateur community theatre organization that takes pride in producing top-quality comedies, dramas and musicals chosen to appeal to a wide range of audience tastes, and to provide exciting creative opportunities for local actors, playwrights, technicians and theatre lovers.
The Guild actively promotes participation, interest in, and enjoyment of live theatre through the performance of theatrical productions for the community at large. To do so, the Guild provides:
- annual programs and schedules of theatrical productions, including securing of performance rights.
- a production team (directors, producers, stage managers, etc.) for each production,
- a technically supported venue for performance,
- set construction materials and constructed and painted sets,
- rehearsal space,
- costumes and props,
- instruction, education and coaching to participants in all of the theatre arts as required, in a mutually supportive environment,
- promotion of each production,
- a ticket sales system,
- administrative and financial management of all of the above.
Becoming a BTG member both acknowledges the support which Guild provides for your participation, and gives you an opportunity to positively influence its operation by:

being involved in productions as production team, cast or crew,

serving on committees,

communicating opportunites or concerns to the Board of Directors,

running for positions on the Board of Directors, and/or
-
voting to choose members for the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in June each year.
